Playing Ties
Over the years there have been many “grizzles” on the subject of Ties. Serious consideration
should be given to the following before submitting your entry.
- Am I entering for too many things?
- Can I fulfil all my Ties and obligations and still take part in the various activities
run by the Centre and sister clubs?
- Is it fair to my club mates if I am not regularly available?
- Do you realize that if you are successful there will be a lot of pressure on you
to complete Ties?
- Do you appreciate that your Cub wants a representative in the Champion of Champion
events and the Match committee has the task of achieving this?
- Do you realize your opponents rights are just as important as your own?
- Do you realize that the match committee has enough trouble coping with weather, sickness
and bereavements without having to consider your private commitments. (Unless exceptional)
- Do you realize that games must be played by the dates set down by the Match Committee?
Don’t drag the Chain!
- Don’t leave matches until it near the closing Date
- Where completion dates are notified it is the responsibility of both parties to
come to a suitable arrangement.
- COOPERATION is the key
